Lisa Cooper Marshall

I am a former "lots of things". A pleaser. A peacekeeper. A Stepford girl. A coward. I grew up in a faith that teaches a sort of fake-it-til-you-make-it gospel, so I spent many years hiding behind a prop and wondering why it wasn't working for me. But I am none of those anymore.

I am a pilgrim. A cancer fighter. A fellow traveller who is less afraid of pain and honesty and failure every day. I write and speak about the spiritual, emotional, and physical experiences in our lives that are either bringing us to life or eroding our identity

—and how to know the difference.
